1. Eligibility & Basic Requirements
Participants must be account holders of Mingtak Finance (real or demo accounts).
Important: This competition is exclusively for residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
- Participants must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region or holders of valid Hong Kong Identity Cards.
- Participants must provide valid Hong Kong identity documents for verification purposes.
- Each participant is allowed only one account to enter the competition.
- Each client can only choose either demo account or real account to participate.
- Clients must register on Mingtak's official website to participate in this competition.
2. Competition Period
- Competition Period: From January 5, 2026, 07:01 to February 28, 2026, 05:59 (Hong Kong Time).
- Competition accounts can only start trading on the competition start date (January 5, 2026).
- After the competition ends, all competition accounts cannot open new positions.
3. Account Requirements & Fund Management
3.1 Real Account Participation
- Minimum Deposit Requirement: Participants choosing to compete with a real trading account must deposit a minimum of USD 1,000 into their designated competition account.
- Re-entry: Real account participants can re-enter by making additional deposits into their competition account.
- Important: Any withdrawal before the competition ends will result in disqualification.
- Deposits for this competition do not enjoy bonus promotion benefits.
3.2 Demo Account Participation
- Participants choosing to compete with a demo account will be provided with USD 1,000 in simulated funds by default.
- Demo competition account funds will automatically reset to zero after the competition ends.
- Virtual funds are only for this simulated trading competition and cannot be withdrawn or transferred to real bank accounts, nor can they be used for any other financial transactions outside this competition.
3.3 Competition Account Management
- Upon successful registration, the Company will create a dedicated competition account for each participant.
- Only trades executed through the specifically assigned competition account will be counted towards competition rankings and awards.
- After the competition ends, real account participants can transfer funds internally to their Mingtak accounts.
4. Trading Requirements & Products
- Contest Trading Product: Gold Spot (XAUUSD)
- Trading Volume Requirements:
- Overall Ranking: Minimum 10 closed trades and cumulative 3 lots.
- Weekly Champion: Minimum 3 closed trades and cumulative 1 lot in that week.
- All statistics are based on closed trades only.
- Specific exclusions: All trades closed via the 'Close By' method, or trades with a holding time of less than 120 seconds, will not be counted towards any lot-related awards.
5. Ranking & Scoring
- Overall and weekly champion rankings are determined based on "Account Net Value Growth Rate."
- Net Value Growth Rate = (Ending Net Value - Starting Net Value + Withdrawals - Deposits) / Starting Net Value × 100%
- Tie-Breaking Rules:
- If two or more participants achieve the same growth rate, the participant who registered earlier will be the final winner.
- If two or more participants achieve the same trading volume or same profit points, all participants with the same trading volume or profit points will equally share the corresponding prize for that award.
6. Awards & Prize Distribution
Awards Include:
- Grand Prize Pool Split: HKD $880,000 (First-come, first-served basis)
- Overall Performance Ranking: Champion: HKD $30,000, Runner-up: HKD $20,000, Third Place: HKD $10,000, 4th-8th: HKD $5,000 each
- Weekly Champions: 8 weekly prizes of iPhone 17 or equivalent HKD $7,000 cash
- Special Achievement Awards: Trading King, Gold Hand Award, Best Newcomer Award, Mingtak Star Award
- Participation Reward: All qualified participants receive rewards (Real accounts: HKD $500 cash reward, Demo accounts: HKD $100 supermarket vouchers)
Prize Distribution Schedule:
- Grand Prize Pool Split: After system verification of trading volume, prizes will be instantly credited to the competition account.
- Weekly Champions: Winners will be contacted by staff to arrange prize collection in the following week.
- Overall Performance Ranking, Special Achievement Awards, Participation Reward: After the competition ends, cash prizes will be deposited into winners' Mingtak trading accounts.
- Supermarket Vouchers: Winners of supermarket vouchers will receive electronic vouchers via SMS.
Prize Withdrawal:
- To withdraw prizes in trading account, participants must submit a written application to [email protected].
- Applications will be reviewed and processed within three working days.
- All cash prizes will be distributed within 15 working days after the competition ends and verification is completed.
7. Fairness Clause & Disqualification
- The use of Expert Advisors (EA) is permitted.
- Mingtak reserves the right to terminate or reject a participant's participation in the competition under the following circumstances:
- Violation of these terms and conditions.
- Mingtak has reasonable grounds to suspect the participant is abusing power in the competition.
- Participant is dishonest and/or engages in misconduct, deception, or any harmful behavior affecting competition fairness.
- Participant has more than one competition account or submits multiple entries in the competition.
- Participant deploys automated trading systems in their account for purposes of abuse, fraud, price manipulation, or engages in any deceptive or fraudulent trading activities in the competition.
- We will disqualify any participant we deem to have engaged in unfair behavior: generally, any trading activity that would not win in real-world scenarios. For example, opening multiple accounts as an individual or group and trading similar but opposite positions.
- Abnormal trading behaviors such as scalping, hedging arbitrage, or any activities deemed by the Company to constitute unfair advantages may result in disqualification.
8. Consent & Authorization
- By participating in this competition, clients acknowledge they have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and the client agreement published on the Company's website.
- Potential winners in this event explicitly agree to participate in photography, interviews, and photo sessions.
- Winners explicitly agree that all videos, photos, interview content ("Works") and trading results will be provided to us for use in various media for communication and promotion purposes of this promotional activity.
- Winners automatically waive any rights to pursue or dispute such Works (including any intellectual property and moral rights).
9. Personal Data Protection
- With your explicit consent, Mingtak may specifically collect and process personal data you provide related to any promotion for the stated specific purposes.
- Your data will be managed in accordance with applicable data protection laws to ensure your privacy and data security.
10. Disclaimer
- Contracts for Difference (CFDs) are complex trading instruments that carry a high risk of rapid loss due to leverage.
- For real account participants: Trading involves risk of loss. The minimum deposit of USD 1,000 is at risk and may be lost through trading activities.
11. Exclusions & Final Decision Rights
- This promotion is not applicable to Mingtak employees or their family members.
- Mingtak's decisions regarding all prize awards, any participant disqualification, and/or any decision or resolution under any circumstances (including any circumstances not covered by these terms and conditions) are final and binding on all participants of any promotion.
- Mingtak has no obligation to accept or respond to any inquiries, questions, or appeals regarding the Company's decisions concerning any promotion.
- Mingtak reserves the right to change these terms and conditions and/or modify, terminate this promotion at its sole discretion at any time without prior notice. In case of any dispute, Mingtak reserves the right of final decision.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. By participating in this competition, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all the above terms and conditions.
